Oban Joinery Services Ltd were approached to assist the client with the erection of 3 dwellings on the isle of Muck which is one of the small Isles. The dwellings are being constructed to accommodate new workers on the island for Marine Harvest who have made a significant investment into a new site off the coast of the island. The buildings have been constructed using timber frame with attic trusses and will be

clad externally with larch cladding. On the lower level of the island is the the 2 semi detached dwellings, each with 2 bedrooms and the larger building on the hill is the managers accommodation with 3 bedrooms. During the planning process the local residents were consulted on the design of the buildings as, after 20 years the houses are being donated to the local community by Marine Harvest.
