Oban Joinery Services were delighted to provide a skilled joinery workforce to the main contractor MacLeod Construction Ltd. The OJS team were appointed to complement the workforce of MacLeod’s on this substantial project for the NHS and West Highland Housing. The new purpose built centre includes 3 beds for in-patients, 2 bay casualty department and facilities for out-patients. The eye catching building also houses 12 supported living flats which are managed by

West Highland Housing Association thus enhancing the overall benefit that the building has to the communities of Mull and Iona. The structure of the building is predominately timber frame with fink trusses. This allowed OJS Ltd to erect the substantial building in a short period to minimise the effect of adverse weather. The windows and doors are aluminium clad Scandinavian timber sets to withstand the harsh conditions the islands can experience.
